In France, it’s no use trying to get whatever work done between 11:45 and 14:00- lunch hour is sacred!

In the Netherlands, no problem regarding lunch hour: the cheese sandwich will be gladly consumed during an interview in which one can earn a few extra Euro’s.

In Germany, make sure that every single detail of your study is meticulously set out- Germans are quite the perfectionists! And don’t ever forget to use the “Sie” instead of the “Du”. Germans are rather formal people. Better stay on the safe side.

In Spain, people don’t have supper until quite late at night. It’s completely common to invite respondents for a 45 minute session around 8 o clock. They’ll have their dinner afterwards.

The English are intensely polite people. They will not complain or even tell you if they had troubles with the directions to the venue, the waiting time or the like. Make sure that everything is well prepared.
